Zakary Thomas Stewart is from Raleigh NC and currently resides in Elizabeth City. He will be a senior this fall at Elizabeth City State University (ESCU) and plans to graduate with a B.S. in Aviation Science in May of 2021. Zakary is part of the ECSU honors program and holds a 3.80 GPA. His concentration is in Flight Education and he has earned his private pilot certificate, instrument rating, commercial pilot certificate, and certified fight instructor certificate. He is currently a part time instructor at ESCU while pursing his instrument instructor and multi-engine certificates. Zakary has grown up surrounded by family members who worked in the aviation field and hopes to work as a commercial pilot. Additionally, he would like to continue flight instruction and mentor the next generation of aviators. Outside of aviation his hobbies include camping, hunting and fishing.
