NCAA Conference Attendance Survey

NC Airports Association - 2021 Conference Survey

Greetings:

Despite the hurdles put in front of us in 2020, I am very excited to announce on behalf of the NCAA Conference Committee and the NCAA Board of Directors that we are still on track to hold a NCAA Conference in March 2021. Due to the pandemic, this year’s NCAA Annual Conference is going to be a “hybrid” since we will be offering a virtual option for those who cannot attend in person. The Conference will be held on March 9-11, 2021 in Pinehurst, North Carolina at the Pinehurst Golf Resort & Spa. The organization will follow all the Governor’s prescribed guidelines to make the event as safe as possible.

Over the past several months, the Conference Committee has been hard at work to add value for our members, exhibitors and sponsors. Although there is an added expense to live stream the event, we know it is important to have flexibility in regards to State restrictions that might be in place at the time of the event. In addition, we know that the virtual option will allow many more members to attend that don’t normally come in person. For those that attend in person, we ask that you are flexible in regards to any restrictions on-site. In some cases, attendees may be required to watch the speakers from a different room or eat meals in different venues. No matter what the case, the NCAA is committed to making this conference one of the best by being fun, interactive and flexible.

On a serious note, due to the pandemic, the NCAA has reached a critical point and this conference will either make us or break us financially. Although we did not have a Conference last March, the organization incurred many ongoing expenses.  If you or your organization is in a position to sponsor the NCAA, we have many opportunities including applying last year’s registration to a sponsorship and re-registering for this upcoming Conference. If this is not an option, we hope members that registered for last year’s conference will apply those funds to this year’s conference and not ask for refund. If you have scheduling conflicts with the conference dates in March 2021, please know that your registration will allow you to view the sessions at your own convenience since they will be recorded.

Lastly, please take action and let us know if you are planning to attend the event in person or virtually. You will find a survey form at the bottom of this page. You can also make a selection in regards to sponsorship or applying last year’s registration to this years. With the pandemic restrictions that may be in place, we need to de-conflict and develop contingency plans to make the conference a success. You can also view the conference agenda and arrange for hotel accommodations if you haven’t already. If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Edwards, our Association Business Manager.
